Trees and plants all over and to fulfil this vision we have been listening about plantation since years. ” More plants=More happiness”, this is what inserted deep inside our heads, but do we make efforts? As you think about your moves to plant, we would like to convey a beautiful step taken by The Delhi Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) in this regard.
The Committee has decided to promote plantation in the schools and colleges all over the city. For this, Committee has taken a decision to distribute saplings as prasad in the Gurudwaras. Yes, now every school and college of Delhi which is associated to DSGMC will give a plant for plantation as a prasad.
There are nine colleges affiliated to Delhi and IP University where it will be mandatory plantation by the students at will be considered as a project. Not even this, marks will be added for fulfilling this project and this will help in improving the academic status of the students. All the freshers will have to plant 10 trees.
This step has been taken because of the celebration of 550th Guru Nanak Dev birthday and the Committee wants it to celebrate in a divine way. DSGMC will also plant one lakh trees in all the Gurudwaras and Sikh Institutions.
The committee is hopeful to increase the passion and excitement of plantation among others.
