Bad news people. Movement of 4 metro stations have closed due to the protests by Dalits at Sant Ravidas Mandir.
The DMRC has stopped movement of metro trains from 4 metro stations, following protests by Dalits at Sant Ravidas Mandir. The metro routes were closed on 22nd of August and will remain closed till the next announcement by the DMRC.
Four metro stations including Udyog Bhawan, Race Course, Jor Bagh and Khan Markets were closed. They will remain closed until the next update.
What Happened?
The dalits got angry after the demolition of the temple and they whole community got out in the streets blocking the roads, traffic and other regular activities. DMRC had to stop the selected metro stations which could get affected by the protest.
